Not All Microfibers Are Created Equally

At Lavender & Chamomile, we care deeply about your sleep. Your concerns are our concerns. We do our best to reply to all questions in our feeds because we know that you need to be informed to make the best purchasing decisions. In addition to writing the blogs for Lavender & Chamomile, I also help monitor the Facebook account. Lately, I have read many negative comments about microfiber. As someone who has been sleeping blissfully on microfiber sheets for many years, these comments are very frustrating to me, as I know that many of them are not accurate.

People are saying things such as, “Microfiber is so hot,” and “Microfiber wrinkles easily.” Let me begin with - not all microfibers are the same. If you don’t believe me, I would like you to do a test. It should only take a few minutes. Go into your kitchen and pull out a piece of plastic wrap. Then go to your nearest plastic garbage bin. They are both made of plastic, so by the arguments that these people are posting, that makes the plastic wrap and the garbage the same, doesn’t it? Except that the plastic wrap in your hand is thin and see-through while the plastic that your trash can is made of is thicker and most likely not transparent. The plastic wrap tears easily, while the garbage bin is constructed so that it can handle abuse. The same way that plastic wrap and trash cans can both be made of plastic but they are completely different is what you will find when you compare one brand of microfiber sheet to another.

The microfiber used in creating sheets for Lavender & Chamomile are made with an incredibly fine fiber. This helps to make them exceptionally soft. Additionally, the fabric was specially created to stay cooler, remain wrinkle-free, and not to pill. These microfiber sheets are breathable and soft, and they even get softer each time that you wash them. You might be hard-pressed to find cotton or flannel sheets that can make these same claims.

You shouldn’t take my word for it, though. Since all Lavender & Chamomile products come with a 101-Night money-back guarantee and free shipping on orders over $50, maybe it’s time for you to try microfiber for yourself? Then you will find out first-hand that when it comes to microfiber, not all microfibers are created equally. As an incentive, you can use code Micro10 when you have any microfiber product in your cart and you’ll receive 10% off your entire order. What are you waiting for? Try microfiber for yourself and tell us how you feel. I have a feeling you’re going to be pleasantly surprised.

Staying Warmer When It Is Cooler

When you walk outside, you might be thinking that “Baby It’s Cold Outside” could easily have been written by Frank Loesser today. Most likely not in Florida, where Lavender & Chamomile is headquartered, but in other parts of the country. We know brisk nights have replaced those balmy and beautiful ones. As Autumn creeps along and we head towards Winter, the temperatures will take a dubious dip. We know the benefits of sleeping cooler, but we may get to a point where it feels too cold to sleep comfortably. Alternatively, setting the heat too low can dry the air, which can irritate your skin or even hamper your breathing. So you can get some super slumber, here are 5 tips to help you sleep more comfortably when it is colder:
